Suzanne Richard
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Suzanne Richard of Toronto, lost her courageous battle in her 38th year at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, on April 19th, 2009. Beloved daughter of Norman and Carmella Richard of Port Elgin. Cherished twin sister of Monique Richard and sister-in -law of Skot Kortje of Toronto. Much loved youngest sister of Rachelle Mack of View Lake and sister-in-law of Alex. Forever adored aunt to Sharif and Ehren Kassam, and Brianna and Mickyla Kortje. She will be deeply missed by her little angel Buttercup. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends around the world. Suzanne was raised in Saugeen Township and attended public and secondary school in her home community, graduating from Saugeen District Secondary School in 1988. She was a fantastic artist, sublime cook, dedicated cat lover, best friend to many, an incredible dancer, and cherished twin. She was a brave spirit who taught us to live life to the fullest, appreciating beauty in the smallest of flowers to the boldest of sunsets. A memorial service was held at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin on Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m., with her friends and loved ones, older sister Rachelle, Ehren, Richard, Laurissa, Skot, Sharif and her twin sister Monique all sharing their thoughts and memories. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Her memory lives on in our laughter and her spirit now dances amongst the trees. We love you Suzanne! The Richard family wish to thank all their friends and neighbours for all their kind support during our difficult time. Portrait and memorial online at www.milroyfuneralhomes .com.
